The Washington County Housing Authority is the provider for Washington County for all Public Housing. Public Housing consists of Rent Assisted Communities located throughout the County that were constructed to meet the rental needs of low-income citizens. The goal is to provide housing that is decent, safe, and sanitary. To meet the goal, the Housing Authority carefully selects Residents using criteria established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and executes a Lease with Residents in accordance with HUD Guidelines. Properties are inspected at least annually, and repairs and upgrades are made to keep the properties in good condition.

The mission of the Washington County Housing Authority is to develop, manage, and administer quality housing for low and moderate-income persons and to promote economic growth and quality living environments in our communities.
